A Wealth of Scholarships

Students in CWU’s Sociology degree program are eligible for the Jack R. Dugan Sociology Award scholarship. This award is to honor current and active Sociology students who have shown exceptional aptitude in research and/or service to the Sociology department, the University, or the Community. CWU’s Sociology Professor Griff Tester, PhD, was honored with a 2022 Diversity Award during the annual President’s Diversity Awards event.

CWU Sociology Professor Delores “Kandee” Cleary, PhD, was honored with the 2023 Bobby Cummings Lifetime Achievement Award for her commitment to challenging practices and policies that often are barriers to faculty, staff, and students. The award is made annually at the President’s Diversity Awards event.
